@ InedibleSpook Had the same thought last night when I read it. Batei is bound to show up in the next few chapters. I'm thinking he's going to do the opposite of what Mouten did and go to Riboku's aid, pincering the attacking army about to break through.

Ten gets saved by one of the brothers, no cliffhanger there. Riboku will get ambushed by Shin but Houken will save him

Its always a shoulder shot as a flesh wound... But the major arteries of your arm go through there. Not much better than a shot through the thigh. Irl she would likely die. Could still fall into a coma in the manga to facilitate growth in the others relying on her.

@Reeeegiiii week, the subclavian artery goes through the armpit, and is protected by the clavicule and humerus, and by the deltoids. So, although the shoulder is by no means a "super safe zone" (specially if it goes near the chest or below the clavicle) pure shoulder hits. Can be considered relatively safe.

Having said that, of this was realistic Shin would have died several times due to sepsis.

@pocman512 Right. In any case, I wish wounds were treated more seriously, with long reaching consequences. Like getting shot in the gut and suffering bad digestion for years afterwards... The way this manga is, you can instantly tell that that shot wasnt serious. A lung shot would be far more dramatic and unpredictable, although idk if ancient chinese surgeons could treat such wounds... Realistic anatomy would make the wounds feel worse than the usual "patch it up and rest a few days" treatment. I cant even remember anyone dying to their wounds while tryinto recover. There's no seriousness involved if it never happens to anyone.
