Kissing Until Love Blossoms - Vol. 2 Ch. 8 - Kanjuku Summer End

Somehow I felt a bit annoyed reading this. Maybe it's because of the girl.

Thanks for translating.

@MajorGilbert:

I was just thinking the same thing, except that I was thinking it was maybe because of the boy. But I'm not sure.

Objectively I don't find anything unusually objectionable about this romance, but, somehow... There's something... I can't put my finger on it.

...I'm going out on a limb here, but I almost want to say I'm annoyed because it feels like it tries to be a little too passionate without much feeling behind it. That there's enough rapport-building for them to almost be friends, and enough atmosphere for a really nice slow-burn romance—and then we're treated to some low-key-almost-smutty relationship development and a couple cliche plot-swerves, and round up with a slightly too-pat ending which just feels... well, not so much fake, maybe just disappointingly flat and shallow.

If so, maybe I would be less annoyed if this were a more drawn-out, 1-volume series instead of a oneshot...? Hm. That sounds plausible.
