Kitsune no Ongaeshi!

@konzolmester - It's called Bayesian Statistics. It's supposed to compensate for small sample sizes. Supposedly. From some people's points of view.

There are 13 people that called this a masterpiece? And 800 people are following this.
Woah...

I don't want to seem mean but since the author will never see this, isn't this a terribly bad manga? I'm not planning on giving it a rating and I don't have a stake in it, but I just don't see anything about this manga that people can call good, let alone a masterpiece. The main character is pathetic, the story is throwaway, and girl is drawn so poorly it's hard to tell she's a girl. She certainly isn't cute. And it's not like it's a unique concept, kitsune living at the house of some pathetic guy and taking care of them has been done a thousand times. If a friend of mine told me they wanted to draw manga and showed this to me, I would tell them it's good practice but they need to start over from scratch. And to find someone to teach them.

I guess there's something about this that convinced someone to translate it. Maybe they respect the author. For some reason.

Yes, this is indeed a Senko-san: Extremely Impoverished Edition.
And for an unknown reason, I'm kinda enamored to it, despite (or rather because,) the apparent amateur-looking work.

This art is going to haunt my nightmares, its like someone murdered and butchered a loli, then for various scenes only reconstructed PARTS of their body. In one scene she has no torso, in another no legs. This manga need a tragedy and horror tag so people will be forewarned about how tragically and horrifically bad the art is, no joke

One word: terrible.
I don't know why this manga has several ratings of 10, but it honestly doesn't deserve the rating that people have been repeatedly giving it.

This is what if Pekora and Fubuki fooled around and birthed an ugly bastard... XD

I can't be that harsh towards this, like it's obviously a project by an outsider/amateur (probably a teenager or college student/young adult, which would also explain the hiatus) but, hey, it's still feature complete and they've got things down enough they mostly just need to work on their art, and that roughness makes it a bit endearing. Like a indie game with programmer art you end up playing for 5 hours straight. So I hope they continue working on it.

(and it's not like stuff where there's a professional artist doing things with detailed art and there's still basic issues with perspective and anatomy and so on. eg the Gun-Ota manga)

I think that the "indie game with programmer art" comparison below is spot-on. This manga's setting and plot are pretty stock and the art is pretty poor but there's nothing really wrong with it other than that, and it's a cute and enjoyable story so far with little drama. Certainly not 10/10 material, but not a waste of time if you like foxes and/or lolibabas.

I can't say it's great but it feels heartfelt which gives it a special appeal of it's own
