@Kaarme True though the attempt was foiled by a tail fluffing. I just dunno, the story does seem like it could dip it's toe into darker themes given how the story started and how the Kitsune while cute has been designed with some monstrous features, the fangs, the eyes etc.

@Kisato I've been wondering about his past and if we may get some sort of reveal about the ninja tanuki being sent after the wife to punish him. Though at this point that's me just letting my imagination run wild.

In my opinion this is in some ways similar to Senko-san: Most certainly fluffy, but not necessatily light. Or at least it's blacklight, to borrow that name. In this the male MC was about to kill himself for undoubtedly heavy reasons, in Senko-san the male MC is being overworked like a slave into an early grave. Yet both have plenty of fluff and their own sort of comedy.
