@Oeconomist that's a good point but I think it'd also be important to have a stipulation about a warrant being used to find leads would have to be somewhat specific in crime it's trying to prove, i.e. no interviewing a robbery suspect and then charging him for an unrelated jaywalking from years ago. I could see it maybe being an exception for felonies but even then it's dangerous area.
