Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House - Vol. 12 Ch. 120 - My Favorite Smell

It was a tough day for Kiyo, and I felt that 'product was cheaper elsewhere' in my soul

I feel her. I always look through catalogues and fliers as well as website prices before going shopping. But occasionally there are sales not advertised in the fliers and I legitimately could have saved $20-30 if I didn't already buy the stuff in the previous shops :(

@Yatsuki Yeah, it's annoying. But then again, sometimes you march into a store to buy something and then notice a good discount on something else you might soon need. Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win.

I got to wonder what will Kiyo do after her friend graduates and become a full fledge geiko and leaves the house. She's basically staying to help support her friend and she basically stopped her education at middle school. She doesn't seem to be going to a local high school after failing her maiko apprenticeship and is basically just working. Will she stay at the house or do something else? I'm kind of worried about her long term future.

Needs egg, buys unneeded milk just cause it's on sale.

Sales: "all according to keikaku."

@jctsoi There are plenty of Japanese don't go to high school because it is not mandatory. Kiyo can become an apprentice to a pro-chef or go to a cooking school to get a certified. If she became an apprentice to a chef at one of the teahouses, she can support the Maiko and Geiko.

That looks so exhausting
Someone get this poor girl a cart
