Sumire gets special treatment, but what are the others going to do about it? There's nothing they can do. But on the other hand due to Kiyo they are all eating much better than they used to, so they should just swallow their pride and accept the reality as it is. It's entirely possible that without Sumire, Kiyo wouldn't have remained at the boarding house after failing to become a maiko. She's now living her own dream through Sumire.
