It was a happy ending in a sense, but it's sad to see that Kyousuke (and Chikage's whole family honestly) never got a negative consequence for contributing in making Chikage the way he became. They had no remorse whatsoever too. Sigh.

Feels like a cop out. If the author was going to stab our hearts for 6 chapters straight they might as well kill us on the final. The family gets away Scott free, and there's even a hint that the sister came back to kick C out as some kind of noble act? Ridiculous. A happy ending without revenge is not very therapeutic.
