A perfect example of how much Nihei's art style devolved over the years and he doesn't even understand his own creation and how he started his success with Blame.

Just compare Blame vol 1-2-3 with this chapter if you don't believe me.
In Blame Kylli *never* said "I'm looking for the Net Terminal Genes". Gene(s)! This never happened in Blame, he always said Net Terminal Gene, singular.

It could be that Nihei stopped painting and writing long ago and someone else is doing it for him.
