Personally, even without the axe, I would say it can go a bit more like 1-2 volumes. Further than that and it would start to drag.

It was cute how the author would like us to remember this story through Hana's sleeping technique, and I shall do just that. Props to the author for legit researches, too.

Fuck the axe, it wasn't very popular but I really liked it, such a cute story. At least they gave us the wedding illustration and some things that happened in the time skip (which not many manga do).
