Koi wa Hikari - Vol. 2 Ch. 11 - Jealousy

This is really something for Aki Eda. The premise for all these relationships is at face value super convoluted (ridiculous love square with both stated passivity on multiple members AND yet unknown sci-fi elements), yet the characterization and dialogue is really good and natural. I'm so interested to see where this continues to go, what with the homewrecker, the unrequited childhood friend, and the crush.

Oh damn, she's starting to see how real and genuinely appreciative he is! Don't you dare fall for him, you're basically the antagonist-except-not-really-because-the-writer-is-clever-enough-to-make-a-semi-destructive-personality-a-normal-trait-rather-than-some-evil-scheming-attitude-born-from-hatered-almost-as-if-it's-trying-to-portray-real-life-or-something of this manga!

So, the sparkles he sees are definitely happiness. Now I feel even sorrier for Kitashiro.

I didn't really liked the man-stealing woman when she was introduced, but I'm starting to enjoy her by now.

Looks like she's starting to grow up from sheer proximity to people being mature.

@Nobi you think so? I've assumed from the start that they're about arousal and I don't think anything has gone against that yet. Kitashiro just has low libito and loves him more so as a person.

? Shinonome scared the shit out of Yadorigi when she started to explain that she now understands why people kill out of jealousy.

Fuck me, this story frustrates me a lot but I can't stop reading and with her slowly falling in love with him, it's just a train wreck waiting to happen. I suppose that's what makes the story so great.
