The mangaka has a very good understanding of paintings. I think that tragical contrast of blooming nature and the corpse of a young lady is what made Millais' Ophelia this famous. There are many other paintings of Ophelia but none of them can show you this sorrowful image. Even the details, like Ophelia still holding the flowers as if she still clinged to life after her death... I can't put into words how much I like this painting
