I don't think we are supposed to know 'for sure' either way, though I could be wrong.
Given his personality and whatnot I could definitely see it being something that has totally passed him by, and basically thinking her... 'antics' had more to do with a general interest, rather than an interest in him specifically.
Or he could just enjoy messing with her, as you said.

Only 7 or 8 more chapters in to go, so hopefully it'll have at least a 'clearish' ending at least and not just end without any resolution...

@Otakuman706 I asked the same question on the manga sub on reddit and here’s what someone said: “ He knows. However, he's more than aware that she's not sincere with herself, and that she doesn't put her feelings into words.

As long as she isn't clear with her desires, he won't indulge her.“
That very well may be the case, or he truly doesn’t know like you and I said. But yeah, hopefully there isn’t an open ending because I personally really dislike those, especially when it comes to romance.
