It's probably because he's madly, overwhelmingly in love with Koharu but knows she doesn't feel the same way about him and will never even agree to date him, let alone marry him.

@BCS That chapter totally went over my head, until I re-read it. It seems like Yousuke has something he wants to do that will probably take him away from Koharu, and I dare say as well, for good.

Tbh, he really isnt following her... i mean, i get that for some reason Koharu seems to lack on confidence and be really indecisive. So she needs something to push her to make a move. Somehow, i feel like that push could be Yousuke going to a different school, after all if he dont, things will only stay as it is for who knows how long.
