People like and get invested in romcoms, espesially ones like this where the female character needs to overcome something and when a secondary character comes along and tries to break up the main couple, but turns out to be almost as good as the fmc, and so people voice their sympathy when she figures out that the male MC likes the female MC

I'm not lel, I had to look it up how it was named in the original, since both Chapolin and Chavo were really really popular here, but some things got changed (in the Pt-Br dub of Chapolin his mallet's named 'The Bionic Mallet') I just wanted people to get the reference I was making so I used the spanish name for it, since more people would recognize it that way
