Well, girls envy other girls for much less than this, let alone a guy they REALLY like. It doesn't seem like Tadano for them is a light infatuation, and considering neither of them is the actual girlfriend, they should go all out. In a way they are still doing that, but this whole "my turn/your turn" is just... silly. One might behave like that, but both? Come on.
It's fictional but when characters are more realistic it's a plus for a story/manga. But I guess this manga being light and positive in general, at least it's constant in its own way
