Kono Koi wa Fukami-kun no Plan ni wa Nai - Vol. 2 Ch. 18

weak...! how weak, fukami-kun...! he seriously came flying over after hearing a scripted line 😭 poor boy, but that was totally an enjoyment for us 😏😏

i like that akio has started to realize that her feelings for fukami is a bit different! i thought we would take much longer but turns out this is in a very good pace 😭😭

We finally get to see Fukami-kun's brother (whose name I don't remember... was it ever mentioned, actually?) and see some progress in Akio and Sakura's relationship 'u'

Pleasantly surprised it has been running since 2018, let's hope it continues for much more chapters c:

Oh, and thanks for the chapter!

thank for the chapters as always, we finally got to see the brother, now the father is left lol, and finally some tiny progress

@zdarkbrz_816 the brother name was mentioned this chapter actually by the sister on page 2, which is Reiji apparently, don't remember if it was mentioned before this tho

Bro I thought it was Fukami and I was like wat he’d never say that and then I realized it was the brother 😂

Fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Poor Fukami's getting easily baited by liberal application of Higurashi.

@tseng @zdarkbrz_816 Thanks for reading. Oh, you guys reminded me that I forgot to put a note about Fukami-kun's brother's name. The kanji combined for his name is a pretty unconventional combo as far as I know/can tell, so I'm not totally sure if it's Reiji. However, the readings of them combined could be read like that, and Reiji itself is a fairly common name, so that's what I've gone with. I'll have to remember to put a note about that next chapter.

Edit: Forgot to say, a possible reading of his name is Zero...which is ridiculous, imo. And when I google that possibility, a lot of Japanese people seem to agree.

Let's just hope this doesn't go down the typical route of big brother falling for little brother's girl, though it already looks like that has happened.

Thanks for the translation!
I personally feel like this will blow over… the playboy brother tropes typically end with the brother being shown as very caring and supportive…
But this manga breaks all the tropes. Ready the pitchforks!

the numbers of chapters without unnecessary rivalry were too much for the author, it seems

Big Bro is totally all about the cat, but will take the opportunity to use the misunderstanding to force Issei to confront his feelings for Akio.

>When your friends ship it
Sweet
>When your playboy casanova big brother shows up and almost cucks you
Not so sweet

@sleepyfoxsvanlations Zero’s not unusual for anime/manga. I can think of 2 right off the bat. I like Reiji better tho.

@missalyssa108 It's often just a nickname, though of course there are some characters who really are named Zero. But don't you find it painful to see a character actually named that (;´・ω・)? And since this series is a slice of life, I think the mangaka is probably leaning more realistic, i.e. using a name that someone might actually have. Reiji is definitely the more realistic/believable reading of the two options, and at this point I'm fairly sure it's the correct one. I really hope that not very many parents are actually giving their children names like Zero, haha. I suppose it might count as a kirakira name, which usually aren't great for the children being named, but they do show that some parents want to be more unique or ridiculous. Anyway, since the possibility of another reading certainly exists, I'll still include it in the notes next chapter, assuming I remember. Thanks for your input!

I can’t wait for another 3 days for the next chapter!!!! 😓😓😓😓 spoil me please so i can rest easy tonight
