I first thought, "you're a reincarnator from our generation right?! An otaku from our generation right?! How can you misinterpret that!???" But who would interpret words like that as a romantic thing when it's coming from a person you think as a sibling? For sure, I would interpret it as hatred too instead if I am as close to someone as they are, and they say "I don't think of you as a sister." I'd be heartbroken.

that resolved so quickly thanks to mc communicating?? like ok if this was a shoujo manga that would last for nearly 10 chapters consisting of mc avoiding ml, hurting ml bc ml is confused as to why mc is avoiding him, ml thinking she hates him, second ml jumping in and being with mc, then ml outbursting with jealousy or eventually confessing (or other way around with second fem lead or both)
