Well although he is technically "cheating" I do applaud that he hasn't used the book for any evil intent as of yet. Even with getting a gf from it he seems like a good boi who wouldn't use the book to build up his own harem.

I'm just hoping that other hero guy never gets his hands on the book. I dont want to see a "Back to the future" plot appear here where the bad hero uses the book for evil.

Its a pretty well-known fact that the more effort/time/money you put into something, the harder it is to quit.
For example, It's one of the big reasons things like MMORPGs are as popular as they are, despite the huge grinds.
