Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami - Vol. 6 Ch. 45

Mmm, this moment was supposed to be "epic", but she seemed more like a brainwashing cult leader rather than someone giving a good-natured speech?

I feel guilty to have this opinion, but the art didn't do justice...

Oh, so Noor was a dude after all? Well, shit.

Also, what the ACTUAL hell. Even if the Darryl Church HQ is too far to know (or too corrupt to care), how the hell do the people in town not ALREADY know the whole story? "Oh no she knocked down the old church" YOU'RE LITERALLY STANDING IN THE NEW CHURCH SHE BUILT, TWICE AS LARGE. WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS ABOUT HER?

it is a leader speech, not the usual strong girl speech huh

well, even mina have been entrusted to spread a specific way-of-looking rumour, so it is not a stretch to call this is the so called 'sin' of the leader

despite that, iris can actually speak her mind and not a specified line and gesture
not that it is explained in this ch, the next maybe?

What is all this "god" / "his" nonsense now?
Didn't Iris say they had a godDESS as the deity of their dumbarse pseudo-catholic religion?
Seems Noor isn't the only one who got a sex-change between chapters.

@BlazingMagpie : I thought that too... but if CK2 is any indication... Pope is a king-level title, and in order to have a vassal Pope, one's own title needs to be emperor-level... Acting Duchess won't cut it. Probably.

This is funny, coz she had to ACT like an oppressed maiden to appease the ungrateful masses, just to avoid them from rioting because of the government's & 'church's' selfish pressure, while the 'church' is doing the devil's biddings by siding with corrupt royalties. How much more materialistic & worldly can they be than this just to crush a single girl? Although this girl is actually moving a country by herself at one point.

When you see a propaganda on its action...
Also her speech, her expression and her gesture damn

I feel like some informations are missing:
If this was supposed to be a schism why she needed authorization from the main church? (Also it's unclear if the paper that Iris give to the priest is the authorization or some sort of info that make plausible his joining the schism)
If this wasn't supposed to be a schism but a creation of a local branch of the main church, everything doesn't make much sense. (as the "making your clergy" expression of the priest).

Maybe some information that make this clearer was present in the novel?

@OllyMolly i think that's why they're doing it. she basically brought 20th century policies into a monarchy. the common people are obtaining education to the point that they can't be easily controlled by a difference in knowledge any more, the quality of living in her fief has improved greatly, and her ventures have put her in strong favor with a lot of people, big and small. she's a threat to those who oppose her's balance of power that they have been trying to tip to their end

@Deathhappens Right? I was thinking the same thing the last couple chapters. The commoners apparently know the orphans were living in the church, and that the church got torn down, but don't know about the harassment, the rebuilding, and that the orphans were still being cared for? I know ignorance is basically the default state of peasants, but that's a little ridiculous.
