Kouya ni Kemono Doukokusu - Vol. 3 Ch. 13 - Flight

This is one of the several manga by this mangaka who finished the manga without actually complete the story. I presume it got cancelled due to low popularity... Which is a real shame, his art had always been top notch.

@Kefrayba
It's complete. The previous magazine merely shut down and he had to move to another one.

Dude, they are showing up the dragon now? I don't know the story of this manga, but after little research, I've found out that Khumbira is the rat, but he is also the leader of the heavenly generals. But the Indian Khumbira was kinda of syncretised with an Japanese Khumbira that is a dragon. So I thought that the plot was: Khumbira will be the rat and defeat 10 of heavenly generals, but the last would be the dragon, that he couldn't defeat as a rat, but since he is a gen 2, he will discover himself as a dragon too and defeat the fucker. So by showing the dragon now, the author surprised me, and I'm really excited for what comes next.

@IMF

The last chapter of the localization I have read was the MC in the
South America jungle. The tiger woman had been tamed by the local tribesman.
Was that the ending you've seen as well? Admittedly the localization might have been wrong and just cut the story short there.

@IMF @Kefrayba

According to Manga Updates : 9 Volumes (Discontinued) released under Kodansha and 15 Bunsatsu-ban Volumes (Complete, Full Series) under Tokuma Shoten.

@shinratensei16

After looking the raw. The localization seems to have completed the released 9 volumes.

But the story itself wasn't finish.
The protagonist still haven't rescue his woman yet. They still have to repel the military force, etc.
So no, the story wasn't finish, it was cancelled. Like many of his previous mangas.

@kefrayba Again, you're referring to the 9 volume version by Kodansha which stopped publication in 2009. The series was picked up by Tokuma Shoten and published again from 2011 to 2016 , ending on Volume 15, Chapter 93. The story It's completed.

I won't spoil anything but the plot point about his woman gets resolved at the end.

@kefrayba yeah, it's a shame that a lot of his works have been cancelled or cut short because his artwork is outstanding.

He's currently working on Tenjiku Neppuuroku which is an ongoing series on Young Animal Magazine (45 chapters atm).

Let's hope he gets to finish it aswell.

@shinratensei16 I have been following that one since I saw it on RAW sites, despite not knowing ho to read Japanese. His artworks alone worth the time to look at them. I read many mangas over the years. His arts are just top tier in my opinion. He seems to also have a nag for incorporating myths of various cultures into his work. He seems to like the design of the monkey woman quite a lot since she seems to appear in most of his works that I have read.

His designs were really up there with the best in the business. The Gryphon design in the last volume of Monster Collection gave me chills the first time I saw it. Too bad his works don't often get localized in my language...

And in this manga, what he drawn in the latter volume were really breathtaking.
