Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible - Vol. 2 Ch. 17 - An Early Morning and An Earphone Jack

Japan is so weird with technology. They're advanced in lots of areas but so far behind with basic shit like computers, and it seems like everybody there is obsessed with iPhones particularly as a primary device. Lightning headphones are such a stupid thing to buy but somehow they just seem fitting for Japan, as the downgrade that resulted from an "advancement" in the phone tech.

Girl inserts her p0n0s headphone connector into dude's boibussy phone jack.

This manga: I'm so interested in your anime and game music~
Real world: Eeewww, get away from me you fucking otaku/weeaboo!!

Sorry Woman, but if you have no interest in [G I O R N O T H E M E] Then You're not the woman of my Dream.

He should've said he likes satanic black metal. Anal Blasphemy should make every girl gooshing wet.

@Moodyz Your real world is a sadder place than my real world, or so I feel.

But that aside, she ain't interested in Anime/game music, but what he's listening to. And plenty of anime/game music is going mainstream too by now, being played in concert halls by full orchestras. So the call you cited is the call of narrow-minded people who will call out everything that differs from them in that way. Be it color, language, dialect, age, gender etc. and whether they see the world as binary or divided into a million fractions.

..
Come to think of another thing - yea, girl's defo claiming ownership of the boy. "Only I can see him so he is all mine" kind of ownership.
I wonder what'll happen next. Either nothing (one-off rom-com jokes forever), she becomes even more possessive (scary girl world) or he learns to take a bit more space in the world (meaning she can and will have to pull back just a little, meaning still drama but fewer dead household pets)

@Moodyz Maybe mangas and comment pages both, but yea, I have a hard time telling jokes apart from internet sarcasm (and those kinds of jokes that are blank-faced lies) so I tend to end up a bit too serious, perhaps.

I guess I took the "universally shunned for their taste in music" comment a bit too dearly. But on the other hand, people used to get beat up for their taste in music, so I guess "eeww" is still a step up towards civilization. XD

This reminds me of a joke I read in another manga about wireless earbuds ruining the sense of intimacy.
