Ah, another chapter of this masterpiece here. Thanks for the translation!
These stars in her eyes. And she's becoming bolder. But this scene with her hand on his was really good
Also, don't steal octopus sausages!
@bejad007 If there is a direct translation for a word that retains most of its meaning, then the translator should use it. I don’t really see a point in it, it’s awfully superfluous kinda like the “all according to keikaku” thing.
Each chapter, she edges closer and closer to dragging him to the church with Billy Idol in the background with an obscene amount of rice and doves everywhere...
Uff. You have no idea. They have been translating stuff for almost 9 years if I remember correctly. They also come from a light novel translating background, and it's pretty goddamn painful enough to write a TL note for every reference in the chapter (They had a lot). Now, Imagine having to add a note for every word like this.
@EroZero does have a point. In fact, translation manuals dictate that you should do that. Every word that has to be left as it is, is a failure in the translation.
Why is that? Because a translation has to be accesible to every person in that language (Unless it's a scientific article or something like that). Not an especific audience that already knows all the terminology. After all, a translation aims for the wider audience. And before we all became "weebs", we were "normies"
I recommend watching Otaking's Anime Fansub Documentary on yt. The thing is old, but has a charm and it's pretty informative.
Who's thirstier, Kubo or Yamada? Also, my only gripe with this godly chapter is that the panel with Kubo holding Shiraishi's arm while staring at him wasn't a full page. Still was amazing, though.
