This spin-off series was fun at first, but now (30+ chapters in), its just fodder/filler.
I wish they would focus on the main series instead.

Am I alone of this opinion ?

If the activities are rival — that is to say if working on one series takes resources that would otherwise go to the other — then I'm sure that most readers of the primary series would prefer that this series end. But, while one might imagine the mangaka and publisher redirecting resources that go into this series instead into the primary series, I don't believe that they would do so if this spin-off ended. I don't think that these series should be genuinely seen as rival; it's more that this series just allows the mangaka and publisher to milk a few more yen from the audience.

spin-off is a common practice of publishers for their popular series , 1 serie can even have 5 , 6 spin-offs , and the publishers can just cancel / axe the spin-offs if no one buys them .
