Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 9 Ch. 41.1

so short, luckily next half is on the 16th.

I think theyre adding details that werent in the LN, i dont remember the fight going this way pr being this detailed. i might be mis remembering though.

What is going on? Why don't they follow the novel? I understand who the puppet is, but why are they doing it all together? They skipped the presentation of an important character. I don't like how it is evolving at all

Wonder if it's changing to weekly serialization with how short it is and next chapter being next week?

10 pages of nothing. They should just release the chapter in one go rather than doing it in parts.

Everyone here bitching about bi-weekly 9 pages while here I am reading tri-monthly 20 pages Manga lmao

@RE33ITA you mean Mom? It was basically explained that she has psychic control over her children. Not entirely sure how that applies to the puppet, but that's why everything is attacking in coordinated fashion.

9 pages
NINE PAGES
IM LITERALLY GONNA END MYSELF RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW

ill fucking die of old age before this manga finishes jesus god damn christ

I feel like a lot this chapters could have been easily compressed into like 2 pages instead of having its own chapter.
Not to mention with the chapters getting even shorter. They should really just start rushing the story a bit. At this point I feel like manga with 2 pages per chapter have better progression tbh.
It's not like I'm not enjoy reading it in general but I honestly I feel like the chapters were chopped in half first for no reason but (especially) now it feels like they are just milking the moments.
What trying to say is, they should just delay the chapters and have a normal chapter instead of this.

There is a clear pacing issue. The issue is not the lack of pages released (it's fine, drawing manga is time consuming), the problem is that nothing happens in these few pages. Literally nothing happened in these 9 pages, things are as bad as we left off from the previous chapter (as you would expect), she tries something, it doesn't work, back to the same situation.

this is a very weird monthly chapter. Usually they can't be this short. Is there something wrong with this series or the mangaka?

I'm honestly getting sick of how much this is dragging. I have started to read the WN and this first arc does takes nearly 200 chapters but at the same time I think moving like 2 feet a chapter is becoming a chore to read in a manga format. (The fight with Alaba is like 20-30 chapters) I'm starting to read the second arc which is were most of the hype for the series originates from and I can understand why. Plot is much more grounded and has much more momentum. It doesn't lose the original charm but you won't be going a chapter with basically nothing happening.

Edit: When I say chapters I mean what WN authors consider a chapter. So like 5 or 6 paragraphs max. It does basically change to a LN format in the second arc so chapters are much fuller and fleshed out. The beginning is very unique but honestly drags horrendouesly. Which is why those 200 chapters are probably gonna easily fit into 50 manga chapters and still feel like its dragging.

We are nearly to the "second arc" but still with the way things move it feels like its gonna take another year lul

By the way. If you want to start reading the WN. Start at chapter 151. Its right before the Queen Terratect part and right after the inspection party is killed.

I think what makes this manga interesting is when there are interactions in humans

well call me if second arc begin

@CheerTheDead Nope, this is a how a lot of series are now. Not really sure why but about 7-8 months ago a few series started doing x.1 and x.2 chapters every 2 weeks instead of just a full chapter a month. It's mostly series that are in the Isekai genre too, and now it's gotten to the point where it's starting to be x.1 and x.2 every month instead of x.1 and then 2 weeks later x.2. It's really annoying and slows down the series a lot, but a couple of series (seriously it's like 2 or 3) that do x.1 and x.2 chapters still have 20+ pages in those half chapters.
