I really want to enjoy this as much as I did earlier chapters, but it's honestly kind of tiring to read sometimes. There's just so much shit happening so quickly, and with no character interaction to act as a buffer.

as far as manga only readers know, this is the first time its confirmed that ariel/demon king is not future kumoko. Author really pushed that idea as a red herring until basically this moment, even in the LN. i still dont really understand why, but regardeless im rly happy granny has arrived to be illustrated here. artist's weakpoint is drawing humans so some readers are worried about the future humam characters we'll be seeing, but im satisfied with what weve seen so far.

This is my pet peeve with this manga. There are too few pages per chapter that some time I feel like nothing ever happens so it doesn't pay off the one-month waiting. I won't drop it though cuz Kumoko is such a big mood.

Her side of this "dialogue" is told from her POV in a later LN volume. (This chapter is from LN volume 4, Ariel's POV is in volume 5.) What she says are:
“Hi there. I’m your grandma.”
“Sorry to ask this right off the bat, but could you stop attacking the queen now, please?”
“I see. I suppose I have no choice, then.”
“Well, that was a short-lived relationship. Good-bye.”
