@H3avy The series has a pattern of reoccuring tragedy. Assuming, that is, they follow the novel plot. So far they basically have. If it helps, Kurono's main 'crew' don't usually get involved with the tragedy. But yeah, it's dark. At times, pretty depressing too. Kurono does get some payback though.

Has one of the slave collars on that they put on the MC at the start. She is likely another summoned soldier who went through the same program as the MC. In other words she has to follow orders just like the MC did after he was originally summoned. Her collar has some kind of illusion magic on it that makes it invisible tho. It seems she doesn't have any desire to kill or capture MC and seems to want him to survive which is why she was taking it so easy on him in ch 9.
