Kuro no Souzou Shoukanshi - Tenseisha no Hangyaku - Vol. 2 Ch. 13

I honestly enjoy when they bring in creatures like Cthulu. It distinguishes themselves from the obvious dragon or demon.

Wow, they went from "somewhat decent if cliched isekai" to "full chuuni edgelord fantasy" in just one chapter, that's amazing in its own way.

After having us suffered through months of useless drama of a random dude and his dead wife, the author rewards us with this ultimate edgelord power-up just in case our MC backstory is not edgy enough yet.

This shit goes from " I guess this is readable" to "what the fuck man" real fast

Yeeeeeeeep, dialed up to 11 on the edginess there. The drama probably forced an editor knee jerk edge-fest to up the ante.

I'm actually okay with this turn of events because my earlier complaint with this series was 'why did he meet god - what was the point - why does it matter that this is an isekai - etc'

So now we have come to an era of people complaining about " fantasy" in a " fantasy" settings.
Goodlord, its a good thing Internet wasnt as widespread during the lodoss , clamp , lotr, harry potter and type moon golden era.
Otherwise I cant even imagine what kind of sh** people would be spouting out of their ***

I still can't understand the term of "edgy".
Based from what i read about "edginess", dragon ball is the most edgiest of all.

@moel Imagine if Batman was an angsty teenager, Cloud from FF, or the MC from Arifureta.

Edit: It is essentially chunni but the dark and brooding version.

People love to fire the "it's so edgy" insult. I don't even see any edginess in this? So he contracted with Cthulu(?) who is kept inside the grimoire coz' Dievs wanted the MC to seal him. Then he gets a power-up from a deadly sin? Is that edgy? And chunni? This is nowhere near being as cringy as actual chunni. I don't get people these days, edgy this edgy that, anything remotely dark or cool is automatically edgy. Fuck off

YES, YES

Don't Fight it

Come to the Dark Side

___ ___ ___

BTW, from the reactions, it looks like if he used the "sin" power-up, it means he's probably throwing away his "Light", meaning he chose evil over good to solve his problems.

IE: being Edgy

(an example is the current "Shield Hero" anime, where he gave into the Darkness for power because he's Edgy as shit, or "Attack on Titan"... ugh...)
