It's strange, a lot of the time the story seemed to wander randomly. And yet for things to get wrapped up like this, I feel like the author is more of a master of their craft than most of the popular manga authors. I am glad to have read this. Thanks to the scanslation group, too.

@cryum the grimoire gave her humanity. As for how the grimoire got it, it can steal humanity from people and bestow it onto whatever the caster wishes to do so. Seems like Kraunessa can do it as well with her own humanity. She gave her humanity to Mito's mom to turn her back into a person and lost her human form in the process.

It was never explained but I assume the grimoire was already charged with some of it since it was used a lot in the past by ancient civilization or she stole small amounts from random people or stuffed toys tills she got enough to make Kraunessa.
