I don't think it's being a coward; as if she's taking the easy way out. Falling in love and staying in love are great feats. But living alone for so long, all your emotions hidden or bottled up, with no one to turn to when life becomes shit, is just as hard.

Some of the reactions to this are just stupid. You can be alone, you share your emotions with friends and other people you trust, and you can find fulfillment without love.

When people are ready, people are ready, whether they're truthful with their feelings or not.

And at other times love is just too big of a hassle or they know they have terrible taste in people.

Honestly if I was this teacher I'd just say fuck it too. And grow some balls and tell off the jailbait.
