@erana1 Not only that. This chapter takes place not so long after, in 1942. Vasenka lost her boyfriend in the Ukraine, so it should be around the time of the Battle of Kharkov in May. The Axis offensive into the Caucasus started in June and the Battle of the Caucasus itself started in July. So this chapter is set a month or two after her loss.
