@FredFriendly
Right? I thought it was kinda sweet in the early chapters but it seems more and more like a dysfunctional relationship to me the longer this goes on. I get what the mangaka is going for (learning to live and love your partner despite their faults) but this is really taking it too far.
Must be nice bring Asian and able to get drunk off 2 beer or a glass or two of sake. Saves so much money. Also call me old fashioned but I barely consider them in a relationship. They rarely have sex and sleep in separate rooms. More like really good friends.
@Purplelibraryguy I never said it's only Asians. The only reason I said Asian is because they're the most likely ethnicity to lack the enzyme which helps in dealing with alcohol thus causing a noticeable redness and getting drunk quicker.
@spons I personally don't mind this dynamic, but I think I have to draw the line at them having lived together for 8 years. I think this whole dynamic would be (and stay) sweet if they were still a fairly new couple (up to 5 years maybe?), but I agree that at 8 years of living together, it comes off as being dysfunctional considering how much they apparently don't know about each other.
@eatgoddamnshit they are both smokers so I think the smoke is something neither of them will notice or care.
Yeah it does feel a bit weird that they have been together for 8 years but haven't fully opened up to each other, but early on Ritsuko noted herself that they are two overgrown children living together rather then adults so they are still growing themselves.
Just personally considering how much the few post Uni years for me feels like a blur I can relate
Also call me old fashioned but I barely consider them in a relationship. They rarely have sex and sleep in separate rooms. More like really good friends.
Agreed, but considering how their relationship seems to be going nowhere and how little they actually communicate, perhaps roommates with benefits would be more befitting?
