When I first started reading this, I expected her to be the worst character but she has slowly become better and better. At this point it is totally disrespectful of me to call her Slut and henceforth she will now be known as... Shotgun Slut.

-Patrol Lady (+1 but she still needs to forget about the rules and permission nonsense)

Ugh how are all these terrible people all in one place together... and it's so idiotic.

Like here we have people being killed by giant fucking insects - on an uninhabited island - and coast guard girl is like "oh, I'm not allowed to load or shoot guns"... like what a dumb fucking bitch. Or the cannon on the ship - they can literally see more than a half dozen of their friends getting ripped to pieces but they refuse to fire the cannon because they don't have permission?

Can no one in Japan think for themselves?

I see this "strict adherence to the law no matter what the situation" in many manga, not just this one. Like, someone worrying about whether it's legal to break into a vending machine during a zombie apocalypse, that kind of stuff. A woman trapped for years in a single moment in time, so she has to break into homes and stores to eat food, but keeps a detailed log of exactly what she owes people, that kind of thing.

Maybe it's just a thing done for drama and actual Japanese wouldn't be like that in a crisis, but with how often that trope happens, it really makes me wonder.

That one's pretty dumb for sure if you're like 2 weeks into it but in the first couple of days I'd still be skeptical. This one is a pretty common trope when the breakout first starts, but after a while people tend to not have any scruples left - cheap and easy way to demonstrate character development, really

IMO I think this is more routine than anything else, it just becomes part of something she "always" did (starting from the time halt) - though I don't have the context for this, so my premise is flawed from the jump xd

The patrol girl is one of the dumbest characters so far, speaking of dumb things one of the most dumb and unrealistic thing in the series besides the characters priorities, decision making and lack of consistency overall is the fact they call the bugs by the scientific names, i get it on insect fanatic girl but i wouldnt be saying "the scolopendra subspinipes isn't here" in their situation i would be like "were's the fucking giant ass centipede!!??"
