So... the kidnapped 'people' weren't actually demi-humans but monsters? Also, the catgirl isn't from the Bandit Guild but the Thieves Guild? *sigh* I should just read the novel instead, hopefully that version makes more sense.

The demi-humans are humanoid monsters that are sapient. They use transformation magic to appear more human to get along better. The bandit's guild/thief's guild is a common translating error owing to the vagueries or the Japanese language. So far I have yet to find an instance in which the WN/LN made anything in a manga clearer. If anything, they're even more vague, suffer from even worse syntax and grammar and the quality of translation ranges from "mediocre" to "unreadable".
Hmm? Is this all the same day?
If so: Why did her pants turn around? The button is supposed to be on the other side...
(I was really drawn into that when I first saw her, because I find characters that have unbuttoned pants that don't instantly fall off like mine do amazing
I mean, just look at it. She has enough room to her left hip that you could fit 2-4 fingers in the first picture and 2 fingers on both sides in the second...)
