@riflow Well, it's kind of an accurate portrayal of history. Do you know that there was a time where certain chords were considered the chords of the devil, and usage of those in a piece would lead to your life being forfeit by the church.

Religion was quite fucked up in our world at one point. These stories in mangas and such with a medieval backdrop often have the churches be shady like this because it's inspired from our world.

Oh I've no doubt some of it is historically accurate, I mean for quite a lot of history people were crushed under the thumbs of the church, the Royals, the nobility or some mix or all.

I'd just find it really funny, if cruel, if the god/goddess(s) of their religion are like "wtf are they doing"

That said hopefully little mc manages to prevent a lot of the tragedy, maybe her singing will be beautiful enough that they won't go all Oliver Cromwell on everyone.
