I remember reading this and then leaving it to read something else, over time I forgot about it. But I do remember this part and I did thought at first that this Lady R was a cruel person. Like my impression of her was that of a hypocrite woman who hid behind soft smile and then mock at someone's misfortune just for the heck of it or maybe for a petty reason like jealousy for thw FL's youth/familial love (most definitely because most nobles aren't too close or willing to kneel for the sake of another family's wellbeing).

But having read a few different other rebirth/reincarnation stories, it made me realize that not all side characters are just there to add drama. There's a possibility of a deeper thinking for Lady R. So I read carefully what was said between them in the FL's first life.

"A live can disappear naturally. In such desperate times, why don't you do things in whish you are capable of?"

The FL did seem to just have been sheltered and very pampered even though she describes how close she wasn't with her family (like her father being very stern & not remembering having been carried by him) but even so they still showed her their care by the way her own father had given her advice or the way her eldest brother had promised her he would return before he left. She could have just glossed over all that (kind of like just saw their actions but didn't think deeply into why they're like that, probably because they were good at hiding their shyness/embarrassment like the eldest brother tends to show by coughing/blushing) and just lived in that moment believe everyone will be there and everything will continue on as the same. In the end she was pretty naive in my opinion, even though she was definitely strong as she had shown when burrying a pair of mother & child, but still, it seem the author is putting a lot of thought in each character's trait. There's a lot to say but whatever lol, I honestly just want to know more & more! Especially behind the mystery of her family's death.
