From my understanding sheltered girl in those manwha means mainly that she probably stayed a lot at home.
You can see that during the tea parties that her mother went, Libbie almost didn't knew any of the women which is strange because her mother often go to these gatherings.
Since lacking of social skill she had also trouble to get close to her dark haired bro and father.

So I don't think, it will backfire to her instead I think it will help them to talk to each other more easely.
