I love how assertive Lippe was in protecting Julian - his mother’s psychosis and Julians attempts to protect Lippe were all rejected. She just barrelled through and was like “nope, we’re not doing this anymore.” Maybe not the most delicate way to handle the mother’s condition, but, come on. The kid’s mental health can’t be completely ignored in favour of the mother’s.

And Lippe’s family handled Julian so beautifully as well. Didn’t treat him as broken. Truly beautiful.
