This.....its amazing how the author incorporates our mc's prison life like this. It shows her time in prison was a part of her life too and it's so much more difficult to show than to tell.

I would just add that their relationships with men are also very complex. The chancellor and the duke depend on Patricia and Ebony for their success way more than it’d initially appear considering the women are/were a felon and prostitute. Plus as a widow, Gillian seemingly lost the status she had while married to her husband, but he still entrusted all his assets to her, showing how capable he thought she was.

I just love this comic so much. The feminist in me is quaking

Thank you for translating this chapter. What an interesting life this woman leads. To pretend to be a prostitue just to be this mans secretary? How odd. But I’m pleased she’s not just his mistress. This is definitely more interesting.
