i am very disappointed in toriyama....

@me474 things were really different back then. Like, the original Devilman manga, with all its sexual violence, was also published on a shounen magazine.

Regardless, sex shouldn't really be a taboo when your usual shounen manga gets absurdly violent and no one really cares.

@me474 According to Wikipedia, it wasn't published in Manga Theater (though a later collection of Toriyama's shorter works included most of MT as well as Lady Red). It was published in Super Jump, a seinen magazine. It's certainly tasteless, but the joke was intended for adults.

violence is necessary to create a bad sad and a good side if both were passive there'll be no villain and therefore no story
and depending on some circumstance teaching kids that defending their right is important too or else children will accept any abusement to them without fighting back
but sex is something private and should be private it's rule that was created to keep us sane and not scumbag to our filthy animal instinct and to think about making a stable family once we are adult
rape was also a taboo for obvious reason (creating a very shitty family with a non loving mother and abusive family relatives )

With this I disagree too. Conflict is necessary for an engaging story, that doesn't mean your story needs fighting or people being cut into pieces with blood spraying everywhere, which was my point.

@me474 From what I'm seeing online, Super Jump was originally a special issue of Shonen Jump, so that might be what you're seeing about them publishing it. It seems it was for shonen authors to get to draw stories for older audiences. The special issue was popular, so it became its own thing. I can't find anything online about Lady Red ever having been released in volume form other than in a couple of Toriyama collections, which I would have to assume would be classified as seinen because of this story alone (assuming he hasn't drawn any other seinen manga, which he very well may have done).

and let be realistic an extreme exposure to sex will make everyone bunch of horney bastard that'll create more bunch of bastard children they can't afford to feed just look at third world countries
