@JaffaOrange bread for commoners is budget bread. If you could skimp it, you would. While most food for royalty is more expensive(ingredient-wise)

Also appearance-wise high class bread look perfect while commoner bread is more on "that should look fine"
Not saying it looks gross but some imperfections are acceptable like asymmetrical cuts or a little burnt edge.
