Lady Rose wa Heimin ni Naritai - Vol. 1 Ch. 4

Isn't the King being so close to a little noble girl kind of weird? Unless their families being close enough for Rose to treat him as an uncle.

I'm not saying he had any bad intentions, but assume rumors would spread, unless everyone was charmed by Rose.

@Acolytus
Really? Wasn’t she slated to be the prince’s fiancé at some point? I just saw it like some kind of excited father-in-law spoiling the daughter he’d always wanted, or a nice grandpa spoiling his kid. You reading a little too much NTR or something? I saw heart-warming shit where you saw suspicious behavior.

Okay, I've also read the novel (whats been translated) but it never told me so.... WHAT THE HELL IS "THAT"

Like seriously what the hell is he talking about, the whole times it's been Rose's POV so i have no clue at all, on top of that his reaction is so damn huge, SO WHAT THE HELL IS "THAT".
This question has been plaguing me since forever!

PSA: Keep in mind not to spoil the novels in this comment section.

If you want to discuss the novels please do so elsewhere.

@Talismaster I found it heartwarming too but at the same time that panel of her sleeping by his side made me think that it would be extremely easy for someone to spread nasty rumors.

Maybe I'm just too used to manga being filled with pedo vibes or I have been too corrupted to enjoy the cute relationship of a little girl and her future father-in-law.

Holy shit, this is the first time I'm as clueless as our MC.
What did our prince mean by "that"?

@nachtness As a follower of a lot of "cultures", I can assure you that studying different cultures will only widen your sight of perverted behaviour in every situation... Big, small... No matter the size or the age, hentai will be visible in every scenario...

Luckily you can recharge your cuteness reserves with sanko or some pure yuri story or something... But your perverted side will always lurk inside of you... waiting...

perhaps "that" refers to
her indifference to commoners or the fact that she'd would even live as a commoner

I have a feeling that "THAT" might be something related to the king. Perhaps all this 'farce' Rose did was actually orchestrated by the king in order to push bad bugs (eg. Liliana) from getting close to the prince and firmly put Rose's position as future queen? What do you guys think?

Given his remark about it being more "convenient" if she misunderstood everything, it probably has something to do with whoever he perceives as competition. Maybe(probably) the prince who kicked her out is in love with her and won't give Liliana a second look?

Yeah that's the attitude fii, remember hakuna matata.
And "that" is referring to how she hailed as "perfect lady" in the first place or a backlash they received after they kicked out this perfect lady. I mean this kinda person that enjoyed being sentenced to "death".
