Lady to Queen - Ch. 7

I wonder if they’re foreshadowing how the MC will get caught up in the miscarriage of a royal charge from the first timeline. After all it’s going to be hard to stop the lover from getting pregnant especially since she’s trying for it.

I agree that she wants to make sure her son is the next emperor to secure her and her family’s political power. Having her son be the crown prince would put some weight behind her name even if she and the emperor don’t give a damn about each other. That being said this ML is one of the worst I’ve seen, close to the one from Beatrice and the emperor from The Remarried Empress. Not looking forward to his redemption arc.
 
This guy is just so...uhg. It's especially annoying that he's getting irritated/surprised that she would want something in return for his already obnoxious demands. He just told her he pretty much used her, doesn't plan to care about her and is going to play around with his mistress and he was expecting she'd be all hunky dory this is what I always dreamed of? Goes to show how selfish and self-centered he is. Is he supposed to find out Lizzie is a better person, fall for her, and then become a better guy so we all forget that he used her because it was more convenient/advantageous than to fight the political system to make his mistress queen?
 
jesus christ this s.o.b. emperor's mistress wasn't even an empress candidate.... meaning nobody is supporting her outside of the emperor.... meaning the emperor should watch his damn mouth around our precious mc...... im so angry how can he possibly be redeemed
 
I too feel that the request to have her son be the emperor was a strange one. Having a child with the emperor requires having sex with the piece of shit. 🤮That feels like a no for me.
 
I’m not entirely sure why he bothered getting married if she’ll just get murdered and he will then end up with his mistress anyway. Seems like if it’s okay to have a mistress and marry her after your noble birth wife kicks it.
Also everyone knows it. I don’t entirely get it. And how will she ensure he doesn’t have a child with the mistress he apparently bangs all the time. Seriously does this guy do any work? And who would want to even remotely touch such a repulsive guy.
 
ugh okay we all hate the ml thats a 100% consensus but ugh! the imagery of the mistress' red hair on lizzie's neck? and the guillotine to further that point? thats poetic cinema maam!
 
I mean, she said the next emperor will be her child (not necessarily his too)
Maybe she has something up her sleeve?
 
Just started reading this seems maybe others might have faint memories of the past but I really don't see how love can happen between this two. The guy seems equally as despicably as his mistress.

I wanna see his and his lover's death! They are so low, just make us upset! Anyway I believe fl will teach them their lesson, hope they will pay for their acts.

Look I get he's the male lead and so will probably be her love interest eventually. But I'm not seeing any way for her to fall in love with him. Like how?? Unless it turns out he was brainwashed by magic or something equally dramatic.
