This is probably my favourite romance manga. Partially due to nostalgia though as it's one of the earliest romance manga I read. Also "The first to fall in love loses". I wonder if Aka was inspired by this line when he thought up the concept of Kaguya Sama. As Last Game was in it's ending chapters at arround the same time Kaguya Sama started.

"The first one to fall in love loses" thing has been around for awhile. I remember first seeing it in Special A which came out in 2003.
I remember thinking it was pretty ridiculous at first but it does make some sense. Still just an immature outlook on love though, but luckily this one quickly leaves that sentiment behind and just uses it for thematic purposes rather than really playing into that mindset and having an annoying push pull relationship
