Interesting so far but I would truly love some back story about how the disaster happen and everything before the apocalypse to get more of the world building in the next few chapters like it was quite weird being throw into apocalypse world without any introduction at all, but overall I like it.

So... in this apocalypse world... the safest place is somewhere near Thermal vent... cuz snow melt. No brainier.
