latest release vs last read

Hello,
KM immigrant here. I have a sizable list of manga I follow, and I don't always read chapters right away. In the Follow> latest updates, I can get the latest chapter uploaded, but not sort by name. In the regular follow page, and in the MD list I can sort by name, but I can't see in any menu I've found can I see the chapter I marked as last read(Reading progress) without clicking on the title and going to a new page. Is there another view page or a setting somewhere that will allow my to see my full list of series I'm reading and compare what chapter is the latest release to what chapter I marked as read?

You lost me there.

When you click the big 'Follows' button at the top, it brings you to the list of latest updated manga. You can see the little 'eye' icon to the right of each manga title, right? That shows you if you've read that chapter or not. If you're asking about seeing reading history, though, there is a 'Reading history' section directly under the 'Top chapters' section on the home page. This is what's available. I'm not 100% sure what the nature of the feature you're asking about is, but everything works fine as is imo.

KM Immigrant here as well. I was looking for something similar. I found this thread: https://mangadex.org/thread/148705 which is really nice. It lists

Sort by unread chapters

under the "Follows" section as a future feature. I'm not sure, but maybe this would work.
I do believe in order for it to be 100% effective, the

Mass marking of chapter read markers/mark all as read

under "Read Markers" needs to be completed though. I have a bunch of titles I'm up-to-date on, but haven't bothered to mark all chapters as read for example.

If it was completely up to me, I'd probably have it automatically mark all previous chapters as "read" when you finish reading a chapter.

@Subwai thanks for the link to the planned updates. the sort by unread seems the closest to what I wanted. I'm not seeing anything about when the planned implementation is. How often do updates get pushed here?
@bigtiddyoneesan, I did see the history but that only shows the last 10 reads and doesn't show if there is an update. so not great if you have several dozen follows. and yes I did see the eye in the latest update in the follows, but that has a forced sort by date (unless there is a setting I didn't see). if the eye changed if I read the latest release in the follows section (under manga tab) that would be manageable, but I'm not seeing that change when I read chapters. Or a filter in that section for unreads.

Yeah, customizing the size of the reading history section will be a future feature. It's at 10 for now, though.

That's how the Follows tab is supposed to be. It shows all chapters of the manga on your MDList in order of last updated. It normally filters to just the manga you have marked as 'Reading' (and for good reason), but you can change that in the top left if you click 'Latest updates'.

The filter in that section for unreads is the eye. The eye turns white when, and only when, you read a chapter of a manga you have marked as 'Reading' or if you click the eye of a chapter from a manga you have marked as 'Reading'.
