I would have said, at the very least d-rank, but yeah this is bullshit, since that means that the guild's system is obsolete, since their most capable adventurers can be 2-3 ranks lower than other random ones. The whole point of the ranking is to have a record of the adventurer's capabilities, to be able to assign them to missions of their levels. So forcing capable people of staying at lower ranks for no good reasons is counter productive...

@DonGiovanni @Ghizghuth Working in an organisation is about more than just a single thing. If they recognise talent, I'd assume he would rise in ranks quite swiftly, but battle strength is still only a single aspect. It would be good for him to clear a few simpler missions to know what it's all about. He will surely learn something, like about monster behavior and habitats, even if he defeats the lousier monsters easily. If he later gains some authority, it would also be troublesome if he knows zilch about the life of lower ranked adventurers. In the first place he didn't need to perform a single "find a missing cat" H rank mission and did get promoted into an out of town rank by beating some idiots. If he can't stomach any of it, he's unsuitable for work in an organisation and would do better as a freelancer mercenary.
