Tragedy one shots should honestly have the comedy tag instead. Every time I see a twist like this I'm super confused for like half a second and then it's funny because I realize the author actually expects people to be attached to a character based on like 3 wordless panels. Having someone randomly die before developing their character whatsoever and calling it a tragedy is equivalent to saying the punchline of a joke without any setup and calling it comedy.
