The ML makes me want to punch him in the face. He's reassured by the fact that he Narita is in love with him but he's too much of a coward to break up with Tadokoro. I honestly have NO clue what Narita sees in this asshole (and she really annoys me with her lack of dignity and unwillingness to stand up for herself. Her cowardice is on par with the ML's). And Tadokoro is a dumb bitch for holding onto a guy who is clearly in love with another woman. Having her transfer is just pathetic. Basically, I hate every single character in this manga, but I need to know how it ends ughghghghgh.

Man...it's so complicated...
I wish this man would have ended the one-sided love sooner... It's good that his doing it (now) but would he stick to his decision this time around and not get swayed?... i doubt it..
This girl, I know women has a good sense of knowing things so she sure he'll knows that this guy doesn't love her yet she still insists, cling and dismiss that very obvious "mark" in their relationship going as far as doing some "emotional blackmail" like crying, acting weak and the likes.. Give yourself some PRIDE woman, let him go!!!...don't be desperate in obtaining something you know you can't have...and that is this man's heart..
And the FL lead...don't settle for less.. Don't be satisfied of being just a mere "booty call" and the other woman.. You are a beautiful young girl you can find someone who's unattached that will love you completely and that you wouldn't have to share everything with another

Ok, now it's starting to make sense by having both of their views. Not in a good way, but it is making sense. What's happening in the manga is a very common Japanese thing.

Ichikawa Jr. only wanted to climb up the corporate ladder, and he is under his father's thumb, that's why he's in an official relationship with Tadokoro.
Ichikawa Senior will obviously find out about any affairs, because there's a HUGE merger at stake. Both Ichikawa Sr. AND Tadokoro let Jr have his affair, as long as the merger can happen.
Tadokoro is using her status to keep Jr, and just like so many Japanese women out there, she's taking the attitude of "as long as he comes home". This is actually, literally taught to daughters in Japan.
Unless Ichikawa is secure and confident with his own capability to survive outside his family's name, he won't strongly push the break up. Narita, being the other woman, will always be the victim. She got transferred because the affair was found out. If she stays there, she will never get to any higher position.

But this is a manga, so anything can happen.

@kdramalover28 for young Japanese women, even though they had the pride to be a fierce, strong individual while they were younger, the older generation in Japan constantly drill the younger generation with the talk of "as long as they come home" and "just wait", "he will eventually calm down, and then we will be a real family". So unless Tadokoro gets a massive insight of "be your own person", she will never let go of Ichikawa Jr. She will emotionally manipulate everything, as long as she can keep the things she wants.
