Ah right. Oakley's imagination of an adult Evans talking to talking to his dying father should have hinted on that. For trying to go back to reread the panels, I ended up misinterpreting it all.

We even got confirmation that Evans' mother is still alive, but also that his father is charming the pants off of other women while he's still married. I'm not sure how he can keep this marriage happy with that kinda behavior.
